TDK-Lambda Americas' ALE Systems division is the oldest and most experienced designer and manufacturer of high voltage capacitor charging power supplies operating today. The wide range of output voltages (1 - 65kV) and power levels (500J/sec to 30kJ/sec) available from a single supplier is unique in the industry. ALE Capacitor charging power supplies are specifically designed to efficiently charge capacitive loads to high voltages with excellent pulse to pulse repeatability at very high repetition rates.

Although the ALE series of power supplies have been designed to operate as constant current capacitor charging supplies, they can be used in continuous DC applications with the addition of an external filter capacitor. When used in DC applications the ALE series can often deliver more average power - see the product details for the actual rating.

Description: Precision high current power supplies from the Heinzinger PTN series are double-stabilized, linear-regulated devices that supply a controlled DC voltage with very low ripple. They are available in various current ratings up to a voltage class of 600 volts with power up to 5,200 Watts and meet the most demanding standards (higher voltages, and power on request). The PTN series offers standard currents up to 200 A (>5,000 A available with PTN3p) with an accuracy of <0.01 %. The units of the PTN series have proven themselves especially in demanding industrial environments, where they are often used in 24-hour continuous operation. Due to their excellent long-term stability and reproducibility, they meet high quality standards over a long period of time in several different industry and research institutes. In addition, Heinzinger offers a wide range of standard options for the PTN, which helps meeting complex requirements such as battery simulation with adjustable internal resistance. Description: The LNCE series high voltage modules are ideal for applications that require a reliable high voltage power supply of up to 30 Watts thanks to their compact size and robust design. They operate as primary switched DC/DC converters with an input voltage of 24 Volts and can be controlled via a 0...10 V analog interface. These supplies are used in quality assurance and high-voltage tests as well as electrostatic applications. The various control and readout options via the analog interface allow easy adaptation to the specific application. Heinzinger LNCE modules come in various performance classes with a voltage range of up to 20,000 Volts, and can be supplied with either positive or negative polarity. For units with more than 10 kV, the high voltage part is sealed to ensure the best possible long-term stability and compact dimensions. Description: The high voltage power supplies of the EVO series offer fast control at high precision. They are particularly comfortable to operate. Their compact build needs only 2U, which is extraordinary for their power density of 2 kW and 3 kW. A microcontroller, combined with an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) permits particularly precise control. This makes complete and digital control of the EVO power supplies possible. FPGAs are used in high voltage power supplies since they permit quick signal processing and flexible adaptation to various load requirements. The units are characterized by high performance as well as fast and precise control. The high voltage output can be reversed remotely and supplies either a positive or negative high voltage at the output. The EVO series is also available with a floating output to enable flexible and secure integration into existing setups, that require a potential-free HV-supply. Description: The power supply units of the Heinzinger PCU series are optimized for use as power supplies for magnets. The switch-mode power supplies provide high-precision DC voltage with excellent current stability and extremely low ripple. They are available in typical voltage categories with modular design. Various currents between 100 A and 340 A are available for each power supply. In applications requiring more power, the power supplies can be used in master/slave mode in parallel. The power supplies of the PCU series are used i.e. at well-known research institutes where they are used as reliable magnet power supplies in 24/7 operation. The optimal ratio between power density and maximum precision ensures that the unit complies with the prescribed technical specifications in highly demanding, long-term applications. In all magnet applications demanding the highest in quality, precision and accuracy, our units from the PCU series are your reliable power supply.
